The Power of the Actors’ Support Group
Mary Thoma shares her process for empowering actors as they navigate the emotional up’s and down’s of crafting a career in the performing arts. Learn a natural and proven process for unleashing the power of group attention while building support for yourself and learning to be an ally to other actors. Learn to live fully into your dreams while supporting others to go after their own. Slash through stereotypes about “actors,” deepen your connection to your own story, and be freed to pursue a life of passion and artistry.
Want to be a part of this movement? Contact us and we can bring the training to your school or theatre and get your ASG started. We are available for email support once you are trained!

“Actor’s Support Group has done so many things for me. It has helped me to connect on a deeper, more personal level with my fellow thespians and friends. It helped me to become a better actor by seeing, first hand, how people react to situations that I, myself, have not had the opportunity to experience. And most of all ASG is a junkyard, if you will, for all the problems that have been pestering me throughout the week. You don’t realize how much relief you get by simply sharing your turmoils and difficulties with others, and how much it means to have peers that are concerned about your problems, and concerned about how they may help. Actor’s Suport Group really is like the sky, once you’re there the possibilities are endless!” — Paul Savage |
I was in one of your workshops at the Texas Educational Theatre Association’s Theaterfest a couple weeks ago and just wanted to thank you for a great experience. I was not sure what I was getting into when the session started, but I felt so much better when it ended. I was hoping to try out an actor support group with some of my students and wanted your advice on where to start with them. I am hoping that I can give them the experience that you gave me at TETA.
Thank You,
John O. / New Caney High School, Houston TX
